Public workshop on Avista’s proposed merger

Staff with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission is holding a public workshop intended to inform Avista customers of the regulatory process that ensues when a regulated utility asks for commission approval to merge with another company. After a presentation from commission staff outlining the process, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions. Written testimony will also be accepted but oral testimony will not be taken until the PUC holds public hearings, the details of which will be announced soon.
