The Backyard Classic 2017 Steak Throwdown

Cooking for a cause. Local chefs, home cooks and back yard enthusiasts are invited to pit their skills against other area cooks in the category of Steak in a throw down cook-off the benefit the CDA Back Pack Program, a local charity making sure no child goes hungry.

Details
Teams or individuals that participate will prepare two Steaks ( provided) on any Cooker or in any way they choose. Teams will then choose and present one Steak to the judges for tasting. Steaks will be judged by Appearance, taste and proper temperature or doneness.
Teams will be given a turn in time at the cooks meeting the morning of the event and will receive 1 hour prior to the turn in time to prepare their Steaks. No turn in boxes or garnish required , were only judging the steak.

Entry Fee -$40.00 includes 2 Choice Boneless Rib Eye Steaks
1 1/4 approximate thickness.
