This course will go through how to properly set up a NPO. If your NPO already exists, this will give you a checklist to make sure it is formed properly. At the end of the first session you should be able to supervise the creation of a NPO, understand your legal and accounting responsibilities, and ensure accountability to the board. Finally, we will talk about legacy - ensuring that your NPO will accomplish its goals and continue to function even after annual board turnover. Part of the U of I CDA Nonprofit Leadership Series.
