August Poetry Workshop with Mark Anderson

Poetry Workshop August 17th, 2022 6pm-7:30pm

In this generative workshop we will read great poems and discuss a topic in the craft of poetry before launching into a writing exercise. The goal of this workshop is to learn how to expand and hone our writing practice, and students will leave with a rough draft of a new poem to work on. 

This workshop will be followed by our Open Mic Nights (3rd Thursday of each month) where we encourage you to share your poetry, or observe!

(All supplies required for this course will be provided by Emerge, you can bring notebook and your favorite pen if you would like)
