Check out this 3.9-mile out-and-back trail near Bayview, Idaho. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 40 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are May through October. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.

The Chilco Mountains offer a beautiful, scenic view of the area north of Coeur d’Alene. This trail ends up splitting off into 3 different trails, which offer different lengths and overlooks. The trailhead offers three different trails and is clearly marked as you’re hiking. The N Chilco is the most popular as its 2 miles up and offers great scenery.
