Our 4th Annual Throw Down: A Ceramic Competition and Cup Frenzy is scheduled to take place Friday April 12th, 2024. This event is a wonderful way to get more involved with the local pottery scene and will be jam packed full of exciting activities.
The highlight of the night will be the Throw Down Challenge. This aspect of the event is a friendly throwing competition with challenges like throwing the widest plate, throwing the tallest cylinder, and throwing blindfolded (Think the BBC/HBO series “The Great Pottery Throw Down”)
Also featured is the Cup Frenzy: a HUGE cup sale. Participating potters donate 5 – 10 cups for the sale. All of the cups will be available for $15 per cup (with a drink included). Funds go towards Emerge’s pottery studio.
This is a FREE Event. However, if you’d like first dibs on cups for sale, VIP Early Access tickets to the Cup Frenzy are on our website. Just $45 and you can be first in the door at 4pm to snag your cups!
Substance III will also open the day of the event, coinciding with Coeur d’Alene’s Art Walk. This show features regional ceramic artists and will remain up through May 4th.
